Sometimes, you get burnt out. There feels like a thousand ideas, all buzzing in your head, and, yet, you cannot do any of them. There’s an intense pressure (mostly self-inflicted) demanding perfection.

Paralyzing.

Times like these necessitate a reset. So, I started 2023 drawing & posting on a new/separate Instagram daily.

For a lot of my painting history, I’ve stuck to abstraction. More out of a fear of how poor my proportions and figure drawing was. Which led to me avoiding it.

I’m mostly playing with style at the moment, with an intention of starting a webcomic (about robots deciding they’d rather become actors than do their programmed tasks) this year.
